Gresik – Maskumambang has once again demonstrated its commitment to social and religious services through the execution of qurban animal slaughtering, which took place on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
During this year’s Eid al-Adha momentum, the Maskumambang Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren Maskumambang) together with Baitut Tabarru’ Maskumambang (BTM) successfully collected and distributed qurban animals to the community. Interestingly, in addition to directly slaughtering 7 qurban animals, there were an additional 35 qurban animals that also supported the program.

A staff member of Baitut Tabarru’ Maskumambang (BTM), Ustadz Dedy Prasetyo, S.Pd., explained that the Maskumambang Islamic Boarding School along with BTM carried out the slaughtering of 3 cows and 4 goats, making a total of 7 qurban animals slaughtered directly within the boarding school premises.
“Alhamdulillah, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, Maskumambang Islamic Boarding School together with Baitut Tabarru’ Maskumambang (BTM) executed the qurban animal slaughtering. These qurban animals were collected from the community. Thus, this shows that BTM continues to be trusted by the public in terms of trustworthy collection of continuous charity (sedekah jariyah),”
“The slaughtering was carried out at the Islamic Boarding School, involving teachers, students (santri), and the general public to assist in the execution and distribution of this qurban. Alhamdulillah, the Caretaker of the Boarding School, K.H. Nidlol Masyhud, Lc., Dpl., was directly involved and had the opportunity to slaughter the qurban animals, accompanied by Ustadz Musyofin as a substitute,” explained Ustadz Dedy, Ahad (May 31, 2026).

BTM itself is an institution engaged in collecting zakat and alms from the community, which are then distributed to help residents in need and support various social and religious activities.
Interestingly, Maskumambang did not only distribute the yields from those 7 qurban animals. According to Ustadz Dedy, there was an additional 35 goats resulting from a collaboration with the Darul Fikri Institution. The slaughtering of these 35 goats was carried out in Lowayu Village, Dukun District, Gresik Regency. After the slaughtering process was completed, the qurban meat was then transported, processed, and distributed at the Maskumambang Islamic Boarding School.

“Alhamdulillah, thanks to this collaboration, Maskumambang was able to distribute a total of 512 qurban packages to the surrounding community,” he revealed.
The qurban meat was distributed to teachers, educational staff, and residents in the villages surrounding the Maskumambang Islamic Boarding School. The increase in the number of qurban animals serves as evidence of the growing public trust in the qurban program managed by BTM Maskumambang.
Meanwhile, the Head of BTM, Ustadz Yusuf, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all mudhahhi (the people performing qurban) and donors who have entrusted their qurban through Maskumambang.

“Alhamdulillah, we express our gratitude, syukran, jazakumullah khairan katsiran, to the mudhahhi and all donors who have entrusted their qurban animals through BTM Maskumambang Islamic Boarding School,”
“May Allah accept the qurban worship that has been fulfilled, bestow blessings upon the wealth, families, and lives of the mudhahhi, and make it a righteous deed whose rewards continue to flow. Aamiin ya Rabbal ‘Alamiin,” said Ustadz Yusuf.
With the execution of the qurban involving various parties and a distribution reaching hundreds of recipients, Maskumambang reaffirms its role as an educational and social institution that actively brings benefits to the community. This 2026 qurban program stands as tangible proof that the spirit of sharing and social care continues to grow along with Maskumambang.
